We are a budding new laboratory. We try to understand the mechanisms associated with the Non-Ribosomal Peptide Synthetase machinery. These huge enzymes synthesize the last resort antimicrobials that are used against MRSA. They also make tumor suppressors, virulence factors and a plethora of other molecules. However, we really do not understand how these enzymes work. With the funding for investigative research in basic science getting progressively lower, we will be so grateful if you would like to donate!
